This is a replica of the rare 70-74 Challenger T/A snorkel hood. It features a full inner structure with a cold air box built in. Original hinges can be used and bolts are supplied. Rolled edges on all sides insure a perfect fit.

Production managers note on DC-708:
We have been producing the T/A hood for a number of years, the underside is pictured here and in our catalog. It fits like a steel hood, the edges curve to match the fenders and have been produced to an exact fit. The understructure has the bolts already installed for mounting.
We tooled this up, off a steel hood with T/A scoop attached, that's why it fits like a steel hood. We did not tool it from a fiberglass replica, since copying from a fiberglass pattern results in shrinkage and poor fit.
The understructure is finished like the top surface and also has the cold air box like the original.
Most of our hoods do not have a finished underside, in fact if you order this item, you might be told (by an order taker) that it is not finished, but in fact it is finished, it is the only way the 70-74 Challenger hoods are made, that is for sure.
Also, the little vents along the rear edge are reproduced as small indents that you can cut out and install screens. The pictures we have in our catalog do not show these vent indents, but we put them in the last time we retooled.

Front latch style hoods have provision for latching the front down just like the original.
Front latching hoods cost more because they have extra steel reinforcements made into them.
The other style (pin down) uses racing type hood pins to hold down the front. These cannot be converted to a latching style.
You must drill holes in the front area of the hood for the pins, the pins attach to the radiator core support.
Both styles (latching and pin type) bolt to the original hinges in the rear. Bolts are included. Hood hinge springs must be removed and replaced with our low tension springs or a prop rod.
